Welcome to James Marshall Parent Nursery School!
JMPNS is an early education experience that is rooted in play, developmentally appropriate practices, and relevant early childhood research.
We value kindness, diversity, equity, and the pursuit of lifelong learning.
Our families are our most valuable stakeholders. As a cooperative school, enrolled families have ownership. Their voices help guide and shape the program we have today, as well as the one we are building for tomorrow.

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING
SHAREEN WELLS
"This is the best kept preschool secret. I love the opportunities to be involved and the enriching environment it provides to my preschooler."
SARAH ELLIOT
"My daughter went here and it was such an amazing experience! It's parent run and I met so many wonderful people that have become long time friends. I highly recommend!"
LESLIE SETSER-PFLEGER
I love this preschool. It is so good to be able to be a part of my kid's early education. Plus I meet other people going through the same stuff at the same time. Mrs. Hinton is wonderful and helps us learn what age appropriate behaviors are and how to help with other kids too. I couldn’t choose a better spot for our family.

West Sacramento Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge the land currently occupied by James Marshall Parent Nursery School (JMPNS) as the traditional home of the Patwin [POT WIN] people. These sovereign people have been caretakers of the area since time immemorial. Despite centuries of genocide and occupation, the Patwin people continue as vibrant and resilient federally recognized and unrecognized tribes, bands, and rancherias. Today, we honor and recognize our Patwin tribal neighbors for their contributions as the caretakers of the Sacramento Valley and honor their sustained existence.
